Measure of Central Tendency and Variations Mathematics Problem

Math Problem Instructions:

When data is collected, the most common calculations computed are the Measures of Central Tendency, mean, median and mode. It is important to know how to compute these values and it is also extremely important to know what these values mean in context of the data set.
Use the internet to find a data set. Key terms to search: Free Public Data Sets and Medical Data Sets.
Introduce your Data Set and Cite the Source.
Why was this data interesting to you?
Calculate measures of central tendency (Mean, Median & Mode) and measures of variation (Range and Standard Deviation) for your data. Write a sentence for each calculation explaining what that value means in context of your data.

The data I chose shows the # of arrest in five boroughs in New York City from unlawful marijuana possession from January to April in 2018 and again in 2019.
This topic would be of interest due to the recent legalization of marijuana. A visual as to the decline in arrest prior to the new change in the law.
The mean (the average # of charges for 2018 and 2019)
2018 is 146.2
2019 is 27.7
The mode (#s appearing most frequently)
Ш| -177?
І019- 16
The median (the middle # in the series, the 2 middle #s were added together then divide by 2)

Measure of Central Tendency and Variations
Data Set
Data set in statistics is a basic need for interpreting important results. The data set chosen here is the Death rate data of all the states of the United States. The data consists of two categories (Rasp, 2020). One is the different reasons due to which the death may have occurred and the second category is the population in thousands with respect to the age factor.
This data was of interest because the US is one of the most developed countries and for such countries, their death rate data is an important factor to help them focus more on their health facilities.
Mean
The mean is the central trend's most common and well-known metric. The mean is equal to the total of all data set values divided by the data set total of values. In this data, we calculated the mean of every factor separately in excel through excel formulae and the results are as follows:
Total death rate mean = 837.8
Mean of the deaths caused by heart failure = 220.9
Mean of the deaths caused by cancer = 193
Mean of the deaths caused by stroke = 52.3
Mean of the deaths caused by respiratory diseases = 43.8
Mean of the deaths caused by accidents = 41.2
Mean of the deaths caused by vehicles = 17
Mean of the deaths caused by diabetes = 25.8
Mean of the deaths caused by Alzheimer = 24.2
Mean of the deaths caused by flu = 20.1
Mean of the deaths caused by Nephritis = 14.8
Mean of the deaths caused by Suicide = 12.4
Mean of the deaths caused by homicide = 5.9
Mean of the deaths caused by Aids = 4.8
Mean of the total population that died, in thousands = 5813.9
Mean of the population < 18 years that died, in thousands = 1441.8
Mean of the population > 65 years that died, in thousands = 721.3
If we analyze this, we can interpret that the most deaths caused in the US were because of the heart failure and the least were through AIDs and we can also see that the average deaths caused were of the population that was below 18 years which is a surprising factor.
Median
The median for a data set grouped in order of magnitude is the mid-score. Anomalies and distorted results impact the norm fewer. We calculated the median in excel through excel formulae and the medians of all the factors are as follows:
Total death rate Median = 843.3
Median of the deaths caused by heart failure = 221.1
Median of the deaths caused by cancer = 197.8
Median of the deaths caused by stroke = 52.3
Median of the deaths caused by respiratory diseases = 42.7
Median of the deaths caused by accidents = 40.7
Median of the deaths caused by vehicles = 16.1
Median of the deaths caused by diabetes = 25.3
Median of the deaths caused by Alzheimer = 24.6
Median of the deaths caused by flu = 19.9
Median of the deaths caused by Nephritis = 14.9
Median of the deaths caused by Suicid...
