In the novel Frankenstein that is written by Mary Shelly, the author describes a psychological development of events that corresponds with Abrahams Maslow’s Hierarchical needs. Maslow conjectured there are two types of needs namely psychological needs deficiency needs and growth needs. Growth needs ranges from understanding and loving others. Maslow also states that without being able to meet all the deficiency needs, a person cannot be able to proceed to growth needs. The paper will evaluate two needs namely psychological needs and safety needs.
In Frankenstein, the protagonist creates human beings in a peculiar science experiment. He is astonished by creation and leaves the creatures to feed for themselves. This allows Shelly to illustrate psychological development of creatures.
