ANALYSIS OF MARGARET BOURKE WHITE PHOTOS OF SOVIET UNION
Margaret White was a renown American photographer whose massive contribution to the photojournalism industry was evident from her work of Life Magazine. When Bourke White was still a freshman at Columbia University, she was impacted by a man Arthur Dow who was a photographer, designer and dormant filmmaker to love two-dimensional rhythm which entailed color, light, dark and line. She later opened a studio located in Cleveland where she continued with her passion for photography. Margaret's strong passion for art made her specialize in architectural photography that helped her to take great pictures of the Soviet Union.
Margaret took several photos of the Soviet Union which were published in her magazine. The studio she had in Cleveland gave her a lot of skills and exposure to the digital world and the world of camera. This helped her in her entire journey of photoshoot adventure from her beginning when she started working with the Americans and the biggest world Fortune Magazine The photos centered on specific topics like social injustices, oppression of the weak throughout the Louisville Kentucky floods of 1937.several pictures shot by Bourke showed people in different outfits and floaters showing the massiveness of the floods. Landing times before airport runways were flooded. Margaret hovered through the city in rafts to get the best pictures to capture the moment. During Margaret’s early years of working, she collaborated with Erskine Caldwell and wrote a book of pictures and text documenting the Collison of the biggest depression in the South.in Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama,Arkansas, and South Carolina. Caldwell described the whole happening while Bourke White took photographs of the living conditions and life of the poorest citizens. The photos taken by Bourke helped to reinforce stereotypes and critical acclaim hence becoming a tremendous success. Cardwell and Bourke were sent by the adventure of life to photograph and film the rise of Nazism and the popularity of Hitler in Central Europe.
Nazism was associated with political rivalries that involved the rise of the Nazi party in Germany. This brought about dictatorship and tough leadership in Germany.
