How does virtue ethics differ from other normative systems? Which virtues would the Christian worldview affirm and recommend to become part of one's character?

 

 

I am currently in the profession as an Operating Clerk in a major Utility Company in California; I have been with the Company for five years and will graduate with my Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (IT) with an Emphasis on Cybersecurity in January of 2024. I began my professional career as a Utility Worker in a long-time labor role for a Utility Company and labored in this role for four years, then acquired it with the aid of a Union Local IBEW 1245 to get me to start in another field due to an injury. I became attracted to this importance at a younger age because of my experience as a Forest Firefighter. As a young man, I became capable of witnessing the good, bad, and unpleasantness of the Craft, which made me need to take another route for success. I consider this professional course a calling because, as a young man, I needed to find my niche, and adolescence led me to witness what modifications I desired to perform within Utility Industry. I consider God used my soul as an eye-opener for my future to give back to my community as a first responder on the Electrical Grid to help supply Energy to America.

Virtue Ethics
Among all the three normative systems, virtue ethics places significant emphasis on morality and virtues. For instance, when a person is in great need of help, a virtue ethicist would help the person because the action is charitable and demonstrates compassion. On the other hand, the deontology approach will argue that helping the person is based on the moral rule that one is helping the person as they would want it done to them. The utilitarian approach will argue that helping the person would bring forth positive consequences such as well-being and vitality. On this note, the deontology approach focuses on laid out rules and duties. The utilitarian approach emphasizes on respective consequences of individual actions.
