Individualism, collectivism, complexity and tightness are cultural syndromes that affect personalities. In contemporary society, cultural influences on personality are manifested in family dynamics, media, education curricula, peer groups and societal norms and expectations. This indicates we cannot rule out cultural norms and values' impact on individual personalities, even in a digital world. This essay will delineate the effect of culture on personalities with a specific focus on identity dimensions like race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and socioeconomic status. Cultural Dimensions Cultural norms that are associated with race significantly affect personality development worldwide. Immigration and interdependence have ensured that no nation in the current world has only one specific race. According to Iruka et al. (2022), experiences related to racial identity, discrimination and cultural heritage can shape how a child interacts with people from diverse backgrounds. I grew up in a multicultural neighborhood, which exposed me to various racial backgrounds.
