Uncertainties significantly affect decision making. In particular, it entails epistemic situations that result in unknown or unpredictable future events. For an organization or individual to make rational or effective decisions, one must state all factors or parameters that need to be considered. For example, if an individual is deciding how to move from point A to B, one should know the mode of transport to use. The decision depends on the time that one is required to be at point B. If the person wants to reach faster, the most convenient mode of transport is air. If there exist uncertainties, it means that an individual is not aware of his or her destination or time. For this reason, it would be hard to decide how and when one will go from point A to B.
