Integrated Change Control
Project management is an important aspect in organizations as managers are allocated different projects to manage. There are some factors that managers are supposed to put into consideration when undertaking projects to avoid any failure to occur. Time and resources are some of the most important factors that affect the project. In many cases, managers are forced to apply different approaches from time to time in ensuring that it succeeds. We can define change as the possible alternatives that we may consider in a project that is aimed to pose positive results. Change is inevitable, and in most cases when the time for change comes we have no option but to implement the possible changes. The integrated change control is an approach that is applied in project management to give room to the necessary changes that are needed. The manner in which managers launch this changes is what matters a lot because it will determine if this will bring in positive or negative changes. This paper discusses some of the essentials in an integrated change control in a bid to ensure that the project remains intact and fruitful at the end of the set period.

Procedures can be defined as the recommended approach that is used when planning to come up with changes in a particular project. These are the policies that are set by a panel that approves changes that should implement. Having a procedure is essential because this will help in identifying if the changes are necessary and evaluating the capability of the project to accommodate the changes (Heldman, 2016). In some cases, managers can recommend certain changes that may pose a challenge during implementation because of the skills and the amount of money that may be a requirement hence; such changes cannot be approved. Some of the policies that should be followed might include; validating changes that have already been confirmed by the project management team. This is one way of ensuring that changes that are recommended have a greater impact and thus, they are essential to ensure that the projects are successful. In this case, the policy should stipulate that any change that is above the project's budget cannot be embraced and therefore at this point, other alternatives should be considered. Policies should act as laws that should be looked upon when undertaking a project. After approving a change in the project, the next stage will be the implementation (Luckey, 2008). This is among the critical steps should be looked upon keenly to avoid incurring losses and wasting a lot of time. Implementation entails setting aside the required amount to allow the changes to take place. Also, it is important to identify a serious team that will be allocated the task of implementing the change.
Change Control Plan
Coming up with success plan in a project is not only essential but also mandatory for the managers. A plan is a breakdown that explains how activities are supposed to be undertaken. It tries to define the resources available for changes and the time available to complete the changes. Therefore, managers should explain how the project would accommodate the changes in d...
