Creativity can take many forms. Creativity is the search for unique or different ideas, and thinking that converges. Additionally, creativity must solve a problem (Levi & Askay, 2021, Section 12.1). Creativity is a valuable skill to build for individuals and teams (Levi & Askay, 2021, Section 12.3). According to Levi and Askay, groups may struggle a bit more than an individual with creativity. Brainstorming is one of the most commonly utilized techniques for addressing creativity in groups, but group brainstorming, in comparison to individual brainstorming, seems to be less effective. Brown and Paulus (2002) posit that brainstorming is less effective as a group because the individuals must wait their turn to proffer input.
