Conclusion
The three states with a high border crossing density are Michigan, New York, and Washington. Michigan had over 16 million, New York with more than 6 million, and Washington with over 2 million. Other states, such as Vermont, Maine, Minnesota, Idaho, North Dakota, Montana, and Alaska, had less than 1.9 million. The border crossing habits are categorized into three: personal, industrial, and public transportation methods. In particular, it appears that many people who crossed the border to the United States of America (USA) from Canada or Mexico used the personal transportation method. The highest value or percentage of people who crossed the border using personal transport was the highest from 1998 to 2001. The lowest value was from 2008 to 2013. However, border crossing using personal transportation methods has been rising gradually from 2011 to 2019. In Canada, personal vehicle passengers who crossed the border were 6,086,157, personal vehicles 3,396,398, and bus passengers 133,018. Additionally, Mexico had a value of 21,478,030 for personal vehicle passengers, 12,139,131 for personal vehicles, and 435,086 for bus passengers. Overall, the USA-Mexico and USA-Canada appear to have effective border immigration policies since the number of people crossing to the USA has been reducing steadily.
Challenges
The primary challenge that one encountered in expressing the Excel data into bar and line graphs was deciding the data elements to use. A person had to decide whether to concentrate on personal vehicle passengers, personal vehicles, truck containers, buses, trucks, bus passengers, pedestrians, train passengers, or rail containers.
