Introduction
The theory for human care will be applied in understanding the best guidelines that can be applied in dealing with acute hypertension. It may be categorized into acute or chronic hypertension. The guidelines for dealing with acute hypertension have for a long time been available except for cases of pregnancy and diabetes. In the paper, we focus our attention on incorporating the relevant theory in addressing the issue of development of the best practice guidelines of dealing with acute hypertension.
Rapid Appraisal
The specific theory that we will highlight is the Human Care Theory that was developed by Jean Watson. She is an expert in nursing thus she incorporated the values of nursing that she had acquired during her education, social study, and the nursing experience. The theory highlights that the nursing profession is concerned with promoting health in people preventing sickness, as well as, providing the necessary care and restoring health (Watson, 2012). She also advocated a holistic approach to health care as a central pillar in the nursing profession.
