Life is full of lessons that we learn each day. It is often equated to a teacher who delivers lessons in class. However, there is no teacher better than friendship. Life would be meaningless without friendship. It is friendship that would showcase to the world your capacity to build strong relationship with others and sustaining such a relationship for a long period of time. People develop friendship at any age, and it is not limited to age. We can also establish friendship with pets such as dogs and cats and create a strong bond with them. True friends in our lives might be in a position to know things about us, which even our family might not comprehend. This is because when we are with friends, we tend to be open and speak out even our deepest secrets and fears that we want to share. A true friend will not expect any form of gratification in exchange with friendship. Friends will often like you the manner in which you are, and expect nothing extraordinary from you. In my life, I have valued friendship and committed to form relationships with people from all walks of life. While we may lose sight of the importance of friendship, it is an unnoticed aspect that can teach us a lot. In this paper, I will examine how friends have been of value to me in getting rid of stress, being close to me at all times, showing affection, and at times, making sacrifices.
Friendship has offered me an excellent channel of getting rid of depression. Friends make me forget my sorrows and the burden that I encounter in life. I can openly ask my friends for suggestions in case I have a challenge that I need to solve. Friends gladly offer to help me out when I ask them to. They can stay with me at all times, even in difficult moments. No matter what situation I am in, my friends are always with me to offer their support. The moral support from friends has been instrumental in tackling difficult challenges in my life. I count myself luckiest to have such remarkable people in my life who truly care about me. Through friendship, I have learned the importance of sharing, sacrificing for others, and showing affection.
