Introduction
The legal drinking age is one the issues that has for the longest time drawn mixed reactions across quite a number of social, political and academic circles. Some of the circles advocating for the lower drinking age largely base their argument on the idea that, it the age is lowered, the teenagers and younger children learn to control their drinking urges from a tender age and when they grow up, they are already mannered into the right practices. On the other hand, the element of introducing lower age limit for the teenagers to start drinking is largely opposed on the ground that, this bring about elements such as drunk driving, dangerous drunken behaviors and health complication in the future.
Thesis: lowering the legal drinking age limit in association to cultural change will bring about sustainable habits associated with alcohol use in the future generations.

The debate on the whether the drinking age should be lowered is one that has received a lot of mixed reactions from all quotas such social, academic and political. While quite a majority are fast to condemn the suggestion of a lower drinking age, there are quite a number of benefits that should be considered. Lowering the drinking age does not necessarily mean that, children are going to be allowed to recklessly be involved in drinking sprees. Ideally, introducing light drinks such as table wine during the meals is a crucial stage to this process. This means that, the families are able to take away the allure of taking alcohol, as most of them are already used. Rebellious teenager will no longer find it fun to sneak away and indulge in binge drinking where they are away from the adult supervision.

In the case of the parties opposed to the lowering of the drinking age there also some relevant issues that are raised relative to safety of the teenagers and the general population at large.
