As noted by the post, therapeutic approach is suitable for the above clinical case. There are two categories of therapeutic approaches: behavioral and psychodynamic. Behavioral therapy approach focuses on regulating the observable and measurable traits of the patient (Short & Thomas, 2014). In line with the post, subjecting the patient to behavioral therapy was appropriate to deliver her from suicidal attempts and alcohol abuse.
The second therapeutic approach, which is psychodynamic therapy. While the post fails to explicitly recommend it in the intervention, it is regarded as the second force after the behavioral therapy, and focuses mainly on unconscious events that patients experience (Short & Thomas, 2014).
