There are several important concepts that I was able to learn over the past eight weeks all of them related to research. I learnt how to do research using Qualitative research, Quantitative research and Descriptive research methods (Jackson, 2009). I also learnt about case studies as a research design and a data collection technique in research. I learnt that case studies refers to the descriptive, explanatory or exploratory analysis of events, persons or a team (Jackson, 2009). Descriptive case studies, explanatory case studies and exploratory case studies are the three types of case studies that I learnt. I understood the concept of qualitative content analysis as a method of text interpretation in case study research.
