Diabetes is a disease emanating from the body's inability to control naturally its blood sugar as a result of a malfunction in insulin production. Dealing with diabetes entails numerous strategies; among them is the observation of one’s diet and administration of the necessary medication. The plan should incorporate all the stakeholders for it to be effective, far-reaching and sustainable. For this to be possible, there is need to marshal support from them. A change in policy that is an improvement of the current one is also much needed. A detailed description of the logistics would also be required to set the plan in motion.
As earlier mentioned, support from all the stakeholders would be necessary for the program to be a success. The stakeholders include entire management hierarchy and the members of staff. They play an enormous role in supporting and approval of the project for its practical implementation. The first method is by explaining to them the importance of the program, how it is going to be a game-changer in the fight against diabetes (Murray, n.d.). Secondly, it is very normal for people to be resistant to change, the stakeholders included. Therefore, to ease the resistance, the focus would be placed on not only explaining to them how positive the change will be but also incorporating them in the program. In this manner, they will also feel responsible for making the plan a success. Before this, however, early consultation with the stakeholders would be mandatory so as to have a rough picture of how things will turn out (N.I.H, 2015).
