The first article is pivotal on maternal obesity and diabetes (William, 2007). The second article is pivotal on elder health in the case that it comments on Medicare beneficiaries. (Terry et al. 2005). The article’s main focus was to better understand the impact of maternal obesity and diabetes on birth outcomes (William, 2007). The articles main focus is on the eligibility of the elderly population and the effect of the private fee-for-service approach within the Medicare institutions (Terry et al. 2005). Focus of the study is pivotal and pregnant women especially of the racial ethnic groups (William, 2007).The article generally comments on the changing healthcare industry particularly the healthcare insurances. The article obtained data from the New York City birth files narrowing the subjects to the pregnant women within a particular duration of time.Information provided in the article was obtained from a Medicare CEO and a healthcare analyst who compared the new phase of the healthcare insurance policies and associated Medicare programs (Terry et al. 2005). The study was effective in the case that it prompted more effort for pregnant women given that reality of association to obesity and diabetes. As such, the study helped to realize the need to control treatment of such disease (William, 2007). Importantly, the study helped to positively impact on the future of health care deliver. The general argument presented in the article widens the scope of study in the healthcare sector in the case that it projects the future of the Medicare (Terry et al. 2005). Importantly, the article gives the projection that there is the probability of expanding the healthcare networks in the case that a patient chooses to use the HMOs 
The topic chosen revolves around the provision of healthcare services especially for the pregnant women in various ethnic groups. The other topic chosen revolves around the provision of healthcare services to the elderly in terms of Medicare and insurances. The two topics are of value given that case that they comment about a particular group of people that receive little medical attention. As an opinion, reviewing articles that address such patient group is important given that case that everyone is prone to old age.
