The patient’s leg is swollen and painful with a round, yellow-red deep, open wound above medial malleolus with moderate. Cellulitis is mainly caused by the flora (Staphylococcus aureus) that colonizes the skin appendages when there are different bacteria around the infected area (McCance, et al., 2018). There may spread of infection from cellulitis in adjacent soft tissue beyond the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The calf measurement on left 3 in > than right due to injury. The WBC (leukocytes) count is 18.3 x 10¹² indicating that the body is trying to fight infections. Since Mrs. G has cellulitis and diabetes, reliving the pain, treating the infection and wound management is necessary to improve her health thus, systemic treatment with antibiotics, pain relief and corticosteroids are used for adjuvant therapy are necessary
