In 1946, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that ‘the access and benefit from the top-most achievable health standards’ articulated as ‘a state of comprehensive overall welfare, and not just the lack of disease or infirmity’ is amongst the vital rights of every human being (WHO, 2012). Constitutionally, governments have an obligation of taking care of the health of citizens within their borders that can be demonstrated only by delivery of satisfactory health and social measures’ (Christopher and Caruso, 2015). Recently, the right to health and health care crusade in the U.S has undergone a renewed significance, especially, with much focus on the deliberations on the Patient Protection and Affordable Act (ACA) in 2010 (Christopher and Caruso, 2015). While ACA strives to increase access to health insurance coverage, it is still below the expectations of the right to health crusade.
