Researchers have a choice while conducting research to use the qualitative or quantitative. Choosing the right methods will mean a world of difference in the ability to achieve the desired results and the way that the results are interpreted. Ideally the kind of research and research question that the researcher wishes to delve in determines the method choice (Marks, 2007). The qualitative method is basically exploratory, which mainly aims at gaining understanding of the underlying reasons, motivations and opinion. Other than the statistics that are quoted from the secondary sources, the research does not have raw data to analyze in light of the thesis of the paper. However, the few cases that are analyzed have in-depth information on the topic and how it fits in with the argument from a subjective point of view (Marks, 2007).
