Working for a paint manufacturing company, there are quite a number of occupational hazards that the staffs are exposed to. Most of the occupational hazards however are related to health of the staffs. Relating to the fact that most of the chemicals are solvents, the staffs in most of the cases come in to the nurses with respiratory tract irritation, skin irritation and digestive system complications (Awodele et al., 2014). Other than that the staffs will also come to the nurse with minor nurses, emergencies and the annual physical checkups.
The nurses at the factory are exposed to quite a number of biological hazards, which are quite risky, among them vomit, urine, saliva, faeces, tissues and blood that may contain bacterial or even viral material (Rim & Lim, 2014). There have been cases where nurses and medical professionals have been affected by outbreaks from infectious diseases all of which have come from biological material.
