It’s safe to say that most of the research we did was carried out using personal experiences and interests. We spent some days in the field, documented our observations, and interacted with different people to collect more and more evidence regarding the project. I was keen at observing things around me, challenged myself to collect accurate data, and was able to complete the field work within a few days. Sometimes while conducting a research, we come across some problems like climate changes, but it is the responsibility of a researcher to cope up with all these issues professionally and to present the results of the research timely and accurately.
In this research project, I acted as an interviewer. My aim was to meet more and more women of the locality, ask questions from them, note down their answers word-by-word and interpret the data. It was indeed a big challenge since most of the participants refused to attend the discussion session in the last minute. This could impact my research, so I chose to visit them at their homes and invite them more politely and humbly. Doing so, I proved myself to be a good interviewer.
