The VARK survey scores indicated Visual 5, Aural 5, Read/Write 8, andKinesthetic 10, highlighting a preference for kinesthetic learning. This is associated with active learning strategies, including using all the senses where possible. When teaching clients kinesthetic learners can use real-life examples to improve learning. To make it easier for the clients to learn I would apply case studies to explain abstract concepts.
There are concerns that online students face distress, including anxiety and confusion. This is especially when the students do not have the technological tools and technical support to access the information (Hara & Kling, 2000). Instructors should foster open communication and provide clear feedback if they are to improve learning. With better online presence it is easier for learners to engage with the instructors who then support open communication. I am comfortable taking online classes when there is clarity of the course objectives, and instructor guidance.
It is necessary to integrate the feedback from students to improve the course content and ensure more clarity to avoid confusion (Rankin, London, & Stallings, 2005).
