Reflection as a Learner
Based on my learning experience, I acknowledge performance assessments as a more critical tool in education than objective measures like multiple-choice tests. Various reasons support the assertion. Most importantly, using performance assessments leads to more positive outcomes and relates to specific desirable characteristics. For instance, with these assessments, students can utilize reasoning skills, use engaging ideas, explain, validate, and support their answers, and are never restricted to a single correct response. Students still learn while completing their assigned assessments, like conducting art projects or shows and participating in science lab practicals.
