Private Nicholas Minue School is a public school located in Carteret, New Jersey. With a population of 638 learners, the school serves grade levels PK, and K-5 and has a student-teacher ratio of 12:1 (Public School Review, n.d.). About 48% of the school’s population are female while male students account for 52% of the number (US News, n.d.). Additionally, there are economically disadvantaged students in the school and approximately 55 equivalent full-time teachers (US News, n.d.). Private Nicholas Minue School offers both daycare services and age-appropriate academic services such as reading, writing, and math. At Nicholas Minue, children are introduced to learning skills for a successful academic future. Hope Christian School, on the other hand, is a faith-based daycare and early learning center situated in Freehold, New Jersey. It serves toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten children aged 2.5- 6. The school has a population of over 200 children with about 24 staff (Hope Christian School, n.d.). The student-to-teacher ratio is 8:1. It prides itself as one of the best daycare in the region, offering a quality educational and daycare program in a loving, Christian environment. Through an ingrained preschool program, children participate in various activities including center play, circle time, arts and crafts, music, group activities, indoor and outdoor play, and age-appropriate academic lessons. These activities create a foundation for social, physical, cognitive, and emotional growth. Hope Christian School also introduces children to learning skills, which promote a successful academic future.
