This lesson emphasizes context clues. Students should employ diverse methods to decipher unfamiliar terminology in informational texts.

Classroom and Student Factors/Grouping:

This class has 14 boys and 16 girls, where 15 are ESL kids, 13 with IEPs/504 plans, and one gifted student. Based on these variables, the classroom environment will contain different places for pullouts as well as centers for the whole group, small group, and solo learning.
