Evidence-based medicine is a term used to describe the reasonable use of updated and current evidence in making decisions concerning the provision of health care services for different patients in the world (Adams, 2010). It combines the patient’s value systems and beliefs together with clinical experience when conducting a research about the best method to use on particular patients. To achieve the adoption of a high percentage of evidence-based medical research in healthcare, the medical practitioners should be able to understand and comprehend the various research tools available (Adams, 2010). The more knowledgeable the practitioners are, the easier it is to adopt this method of health care in the various health sectors in the world today.
The improvement of health care can easily be achieved through the adoption of evidence-based medicine, however, the health professionals need to conduct several experiments with tangible evidence of the success of this method of treatment in healthcare (Adams, 2010). In addition to this, the practitioners should conduct several studies that clearly show patient diagnosis, the possible solutions to the problems they face and the treatment options available for the patients.
