Being an effective leader means having a lot to carry out in order to deliver more than what is expected. It is through diverse and unique experiences that one can adapt and appreciate a more forward-thinking and strategic-focused leadership. However, a more effective leader develops his or her own unique experiences through taking calculated risks. For me, the people I was serving influenced my definition of leadership. I have seen my leadership paradigm change as a result of their influence. Accordingly, the paper will discuss some aspects that shaped my leadership and how to maintain them.
