Choose a communication skill about which your class needs to learn.
Put together a numbered list of at least 6 communication presentation topics you might have an interest in researching and developing for the Week 6 Assignment: Presentation. This must be about communication.
Rank the topics with your strongest choice at the top of the list and the others in descending order.

Write a paragraph about why you choose this topic.
List 3 APA formatted references (on a references page) that would be suitable as research sources to support a presentation. These should be in addition to your textbook and not come from the open Web (e.g., a Google search, a blog, or Wikipedia). The best place to look is the Chamberlain University Library.
Your professor will approve or deny your topic, so make sure that you review his/her comments in the gradebook.

The non-verbal communication topic is a crucial aspect of communication. The ability to communicate well does not solely depend on the words used but also on the non-verbal cues. According to Mahmud (2014), the body language portrayed when communicating with anyone determines how well the message is received. Nonverbal communication cannot be ignored in any form of communication since the gestures, postures, tone, and even eye contact relay a powerful message. The body language of a person may hinder or facilitate how a message is delivered. The nonverbal behaviors can put people at ease and draw them towards the communicator or can offend or confuse them (Vijayavalsalan, 2012). Communication does not only occur when one is talking but also continues when the conversation stops.
