Introduction
A business process is by far one of the most important aspects of an organization that deals with different service or product deliveries to a given target market. The process enables the organization with a well-defined system of events and activities through which the organizational objectives can be achieved with much ease and efficiency. Through the business process, an organization can identify the patterns of events which when handled with utmost thoroughness would be able to direct the organization into achieving a specific objective or the general objectives of the entire organization. Business is all about being able to control the market or the industry involved and the best way to achieve this objective is through the development of exceptional competitive qualities within the industry of concern. The best way to become a competitive force within a given organization is through ensuring that all the activities that have been described to lead the organization into the above objective are done in accordance with some plan. Planned activities result into a scenario whereby the organization is much organized to be able to deal with the challenges characterizing the industry while also finding ample opportunity to continue propelling the tasks leading to the achievement of its organizational goals.
The Concept of Business Process
Just as described in the introductory parts of this essay, the idea of the business process is a very instrumental part of any organizational plans and makes a lot of contributions towards the successful establishment of a strong business empire. By definition, the term business process may be referred to as the collection of specific processes and activities which when coordinated together appropriately would enable an organization to be able to achieve certain objectives. Such objective may range from the provision of the best quality product to given set of customers to the general customer population with which the organization deals. The general design of business process is in such a manner that there are several steps involved in the entire process. Each of these steps is characterized by a given set of activities and the corresponding rules to be followed in order to achieve the associated objectives at each of the provided levels. The key process that is involved during the design of an effective business process involves the description of different parameters that constitute such a process. Each of the parameters that constitute the entire business process is considered to be special in a way and makes some positive contribution towards the overall effort to achieve the objective for which the entire process is designed. The first parameter that normally forms part of a business process is the description of the activities that are to be conducted at a given pint. This is a self-explanatory point because any plan involves a series of activities that are regarded instrumental in achieving a given objective.
