Technology like the invention of the wheel is one of the most influential elements that has had massive impacts in the social, cultural and most importantly economic circles. In business, the use of technology ensures a much smoother rate of operations with guaranteed efficiency and effectiveness especially the application is appropriate. Human resources information system is one of the many aspects that highlights the influence of technology (Itinfo.am, 2016). HRIS simply relates to the intersection of the human resources and the information system. It is also referred to as human resources management system.
There are quite a number ways that the HRIS improve the efficiency within any organization, such as the fact that they help with improving productivity. Relative to the fact that, these are systems that are designed to bring about speed to the various business process. In the case of a recruitment process for example, using the system ease the tasks of collecting, analyzing and categorizing the various candidates within the stipulated score groups (Bianca, 2016). Tasks such as organizing and managing the payroll system, employee database among others only take minutes to actualize. The HRIS are crucial in making sure that the system does not have errors that could easily compromise the organizational operations. Aspects such as managing the payroll systems are crucial to the wellbeing of the employees. Errors in such operations can easily spiral out of control and cost the organization (HR Payroll Systems, 2016). This also means that with the reduced errors the organization is able to reduce the chance of law suits that could ensue from some errors that implicate the human resources department, in this case with reference to disgruntled employees.
