Importance of effective communication in change process
In every change effort, the human capital is the fundamental driver of change. Well engaged, motivated and fully aware stakeholders drive change. Stakeholders can be described as people who are directly affected by the change process (Sonenshein, & Dholakia, 2012). For an organization to fully and efficiently implement change, it has to engage its stakeholder by making them understand reasons behind the change and its benefits. Effective communication drive change, poor communication may lead to grumbling which may result in the derailing of the project (Creasey, Hiatt, & Prosci, 2007). Effective communication gives people a platform and working formula, without it people continue to work as they have worked in the past. It creates awareness and understanding which translate into support for the project.
