Interviewer: First off, what is the inspiration behind your short story?
Student: My short story is inspired by a vision I have of a world where kindness is prevalent and practiced by all members of society. I wanted to show my readers that when you do a good deed, you are, of course, extending a helping hand. And, the good you do, will find its way back to you.
Interviewer: How did you set your story?
Student: I set the stage in the opening paragraph of the story. I made it known to my readers that there was someone in need of help and that there was someone who would offer that help. This, I believe, gives my readers a place to stand, and allows me to take them anywhere.
