Given that the number of firms are 100 all of which have employees, these are key variables. In such a data set, the variables of interest will be the firms and the number of the employees that each of the firm have on their payroll. While most of the other companies are trying to cut back on employment, Apple Inc. is constantly increasing their employment rates. This has been the general trend since 2005 to this day.
