Assassination of John F. Kennedy and Oswald as a Lone Gunman
One of the main jobs of historians is to interpret the past by reviewing primary documents, scholarly secondary sources, and then creating an analysis of this research. In this assignment, you will be presenting your own interpretation of Kennedy's assassination. Since the Kennedy assassination, there have been numerous conspiracy theories that have developed. While the official government answer is that Lee Harvey Oswald acted as a lone gunman (and that is the answer you should put on any test given in this course), this theory fails to satisfy many Americans. Up to 70% of Americans believe a conspiracy was involved in the killing of JFK. After reading the conspiracy theories, pick one and explain why this theory is most likely in your mind OR defend the account of Oswald as a lone gunman.
