INTRODUCTION
Years ago, the role of the nurse was limited and easily described. In today’s world, the nurse’s role is complex and occurs in diverse settings with a broad client population.Often, nurses must combine several professional roles to manage the full range of their responsibilities. Nurses also manage roles that have limited domains of actualauthority but large domains of influence (and vice versa). Master’s level nurses are now required to be leaders: whether formally or informally.
For this task, you will select a healthcare organization in your area to analyze and then prepare a consultative change recommendation paper. As part of your analysis, you willinterview a nurse leader in the selected organization. Your consultative change recommendation paper should be 7–10 pages and in APA style. Although you are onlysubmitting this paper to WGU as part of your requirement for this course, you should prepare this document as though you would present it to the executive board of theorganization you analyzed.
In order to complete this assessment, you must carefully review and closely follow the attached “WQT2 Performance Assessment Guidelines” document.

Introduction
Nurses play various roles in the healthcare community. For many years the profession has evolved and continuously developed to best fit the modern world, and these changes led to nurses being present and essential in a more diverse work setting, also interacting with a wider scope of patients and clients from different populations. The roles that nurses have requires a clear assessment and definition of occupational responsibilities and demands to provide holistic and reliable health care to the patients and clients.
Purpose and Overview
This paper aims to assess the Vibra Hospital of Boise, in Boise Idaho, as a facility providing nursing and other health care services to long-term acute care patients. The consultation that will be conducted is for the holistic evaluation of the organization, dealing with the internal and external processes involved in providing quality care to its patients and clients. The analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the organization will also play a vital role in finding opportunities for growth and development in the organization’s system that are in alignment with its mission, vision, and values. It will also incorporate the use of reliable external measures such as patient metrics, HCAHPS scores, target population needs, etc.
The consultation process will also involve a discussion with one of the nurses in the leadership team regarding Vibra Hospital of Boise and the different aspects of the health care facility such as quality control and improvement, leadership operations, documentation and charting, and facility environment. Numerous issues that are significantly affecting the nursing department and its roles and responsibilities in the hospital will be raised connecting it to the different aspects that are affected by these issues. The needs and concerns of the community will also be taken into consideration during the analysis and will be treated as one of the integral factors (Huston, 2014).
