The videos give a conscience overview of childhood trauma and its impact on the affected kids' health. Notably, they highlight that severe trauma could potentially be the leading cause of death among kids in the United States. The exposure to adversity affects the developing brains of young children significantly, altering their mental health negatively. The significant exposures include physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, physical or emotional neglect, parental illnesses, substance abuse, parental separation or divorce, domestic violence, and lack of parental care leading to consequences like living in rugged environments.
Childhood trauma impacts the lives of the victims significantly, even to their older ages. However, getting desirable therapies at tender ages can help change the affected children's nature to normalcy. Although the boy was first nervous and could not understand things like communicating in human language, he improved gradually. Also, he could not make sense of aspects such as speaking, and such occasions were nothing but noises he could not understand. On the other hand, the ted talk shows that 67% of people impacted by childhood trauma are likely to experience different health outcomes later in their lives. Consequently, they are bound to contemplate suicide, increasing death rates in the United States.
Childhood trauma exposures affect children negatively. Besides, they entail the environment surrounding a child's life.
