“The Epic of Gilgamesh” is an educational account artistically crafted to reveal the inevitability of mortality. This story is narrated in a heightened language that demands close and attentive reading. Gilgamesh, the epic hero begins a quest for knowledge which he deems is clouded by his ignorance. With the help of Enkidu, Gilgamesh grows and develops as a conscious person and ultimately becomes a heroic leader in Uruk, shedding off his initial ruthlessness.
Gilgamesh's carries himself with a lot of self confidence and believes he is a god and frequently submits himself as one. He is firmly convinced that he is the controlling power in Uruk city.
