Students who would like a chance to earn up to 50 extra credit points may write a 5-page (double-spaced) book review on a finance-related book.
Your book must be about a topic in finance.
If you choose a book from the list on the blog site above, you do not need to have your book approved. You can choose a book not on this list as long as it is finance-related, but you might want to send me an email if you are unsure if it is a sufficiently finance-related book.
Your review must contain each of the following:
- A summary of the key points of the author’s work
- Did the author’s book advance general finance knowledge and practice (i.e. did the author present something you haven’t heard of or read before?)
- At least 3 key things that you learned from the book
In addition, the paper must be:
- A minimum of 5 pages long, double spaced (more than 5 pages is fine)
- Formatted using any formatting style you wish
All papers will be submitted to Turnitin for review. Students submitting work that is not their own will be reported to the Ombudsman for academic dishonesty.
NO LATE PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON.
