In Module 2: Choose a book about business leadership.
By Module 2, submit your book choice in the designated discussion forum available under the Module 2 Discussion (go to Modules/Module 2 on the course page). You can select a recently published book or a book published many years ago. The issues discussed in the book should be relevant for contemporary business contexts, and your review/analysis should focus on how the principles presented in the book affect current business conditions and challenges.
To select a book:
Consider leadership/managerial communication issues that are of interest to you, that affect your current job, or that might be relevant in a job you aspire to. What business leadership issues raise concerns or pose challenges? Are there particular aspects of leadership that you would like to explore more in-depth?
You can select a book about one of the topics listed below, or you can choose another business leadership topic. Select a topic that is relevant to your own career goals.

Recommended: By Module 5, finish reading the book.
In Module 6: Write a 2-3 page (max) review/analysis of the book.
Discuss the main concepts presented in the book and how they are relevant in contemporary organizations.
Highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the concepts.
Which ideas do you agree with (and why)? Are there any that you disagree with (and why)?
What are the benefits of implementing the ideas presented in the book? What challenges might business leaders face in implementing them?
Discuss how the concepts might impact business leaders working public relations, in particular. Include recommendations about how/whether business leaders working in public relations should implement the ideas presented in the book.
In Module 6: Create a 2-3 minute (max) narrated VoiceThread presentation (2-4 slides) highlighting key points of your review/analysis.
