The actions of believers in Acts 2-4 were charity. First, the believers sometimes sold some properties and possessions and took the proceeds to the apostle, who shared with those in need. Second, they only sold some of their properties according to need and voluntarily gave without the state forcing them to do it (Lindsley, 2017, pp. 90-91).
