We also talk about the nature of our business which is legal networking, legal freelancing and collaboration.
Audience:
Legal professionals in the Caribbean.
Note: Most legal professionals in the Caribbean study either in the Caribbean or the U.K so they relate more to other Commonwealth countries as it relates to practising law or lawyer lifestyles. The Demand for Multilingual Legal Professionals
“Achieving Accuracy in a Bilingual Courtroom: The Effectiveness of Specializes Legal Interpreter Training” by Sandra Hale and Xin Liu shows that a law firm or courtroom requires a very high accuracy level of language interpretation (Liu & Hale, 2018). In particular, the need for a specialized language interpreter is crucial to ensure that all parties in a law firm or courtroom can understand the legal proceedings. An inaccurate understanding of the language used by a client or other party in a law firm can be detrimental to the witnesses’ testimonies' credibility and the effectiveness of the counsel’s questioning tactics (Liu & Hale, 2018). As such, it can potentially impact the outcomes of cases. On that note, multilingual legal professionals can eliminate this problem since they can ensure the effective representation of their clients. Their understanding of the incident or situation is not tampered with by having an intermediate between them and their clients or witnesses. As a result, they can apply their mastery of different languages to ask questions in the right way to get desired answers that can ...
