The first article I studied is one on “The need and importance of Natural Resources Management education in the schools, colleges and universities curriculum in Balochistan”. The article is a report of a study that was conducted seeking to identify why it is important to teach natural resource management in schools. It gives an in-depth analysis of the importance of natural resources by looking into their economic, aesthetic and other implications that make them valuable resources. As a part of geology, the study of the management of natural resources is targeted at solving the threat of their depletion (Qasim, p1-236). The study was also driven by disasters like floods, landslides, etc. experienced in Balochistan that the researchers of the article felt could be solved if the natural resources were well managed. The paper recommends that the management of natural resources be included in the curriculum to solve disasters that come with their depletion and also prolong their benefits.
