Perception of Communication between Patient and Healthcare Provider
The perception of communication between the healthcare provider and patient significantly influences the patient’s adherence to recommended treatment. Thus, physicians play crucial roles in helping sick individuals and their families to understand the best way to take good care of a patient. For instance, cancer patients are prevalent to psychological stress, and these individuals, together with their families, need social and emotional support during treatment. As such, proper communication is required during the prognosis, diagnosis, and treatment.
