At one time or another, most, if not all of us, have been beneficiaries of acts of goodwill, which may have come from people we know or total strangers. Undoubtedly, such acts must have left a lasting mark on our lives. Doing good to others, in my opinion, is one of the most valuable investments one can undertake. Even if one does not get rewarded immediately, the cycle of kindness has a natural way of going full circle, which ensures that one's goodly act does not go unrewarded. Moreover, being helpful to others, whether in kind or materially, impacts the recipients profoundly while it renders the benefactor tremendously happy. For my part, I declared myself a self-styled ambassador for doing good two years ago after a stranger helped my friends and me in a memorable way.
Two years ago, I was only sixteen years old, and someone did something to my friends and me that entirely changed my perspective on life in general. On the material day, my two friends and I were driving home after attending another friend's birthday party. Even though the weather was a tad sultry, we were in high spirits as we recounted how successful and entertaining the party had been. As fate would have it, one of the car's front tires burst without warning, and my friend, who was at the wheel, lost control of the car. Consequently, we landed in a ditch, which rendered our car mangled wreckage, and us unconscious.
